Hon. Olalekan Glory has emerged as the Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State following the party’s state congress held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
At the congress, former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Alake Adeyemo, was announced as the State Chairman of the party.
The announcement was made by the Secretary of the party’s adhoc zoning committee, Mr. Bolaji Repete, under the supervision of the Congress Committee Chairman, Honourable Amos Gombi.
Gombi commended party stakeholders for conducting what he described as a peaceful and orderly exercise.
It was reported that party stakeholders had, ahead of the congress, agreed on a zoning formula to ensure equitable distribution of positions within the State Executive Committee.
Other key members of the newly announced State Executive Committee include Dr. Taofeek Lamidi, Deputy Chairman; Barr. Fatai Adesina, Secretary; Hon. Lateef Ajiboye, Treasurer; Hon. Akanbi Tunde, Financial Secretary; Hon. Remi Adepoju, Organising Secretary; Hon. Olawale Sadare, Publicity Secretary; Mrs. Felicia Opatunde, Women Leader.
Other executive members were also announced for various positions within the State Executive Committee.
