Honourable John Olusegun Bamibe, representing Ido Constituency, has felicitated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, on the occasion of his 82nd birthday.
In a goodwill message issued to mark the monarch’s birthday, Bamibe described Oba Ladoja as a distinguished statesman and traditional leader whose life has been defined by resilience, visionary leadership and commitment to democratic values.
Bamibe, who conveyed the greetings on behalf of the people of Ido Constituency, recalled the Olubadan’s professional career as an engineer and corporate executive, as well as his tenure as Governor of Oyo State.
He particularly commended Oba Ladoja’s commitment to constitutional order, justice and good governance during his time in public office, describing his political career as an example of principled leadership.
According to him, Oba Ladoja’s emergence on the ancient throne of Ibadanland has further demonstrated the value of combining political experience with traditional wisdom.
Bamibe noted that the monarch’s leadership and counsel continue to contribute to peace, unity and development across Ibadanland and Oyo State.
“For us in Ido Constituency, your steady guidance, fatherly counsel and overarching influence serve as a constant compass as we navigate grassroots development and legislative governance,” Bamibe said.
He prayed for continued good health, wisdom, peace and longevity for the monarch, expressing the hope that Oba Ladoja would witness greater development and prosperity in Ibadanland.
He concluded with the traditional prayer: “Ka ade pe lori, ki bata pe lese, ki esin oba jeko pe.”
He wished the Olubadan a happy 82nd birthday.
