The 2027 Governorship race in Ogun State is about equity, fairness, and the future of our children. I know we all have the right to belong to any political party of our choice. We also have the right to support and vote for any candidate of our choice.
But let us pause. Let us reflect.
Before we dash out the hope of your son, your daughter, and the future of Ogun State.
Let us face facts.
Governor Dapo Abiodun is from the Remo zone. He has done 8 years. Hon. Ladi Adebutu of PDP is also from Remo zone. If Remo takes another 8 years, that will be 16 straight years for one zone.
Meanwhile, Yewa/Awori zone has never produced a governor in Ogun State. This is the time to correct that historical imbalance. It is their turn.
And where does that leave Egba land? By logic and fairness, after Yewa does their 8 years, it will be the turn of Egba. That is how we protect the future of Egba sons and daughters.
Some of our Egba brothers and sisters are being approached with money and promises by Remo politicians. If we support Remo again in 2027, do we not automatically push Egba governorship to 2035 or beyond? Are we selling out the future of our children for crumbs today?
Egba people are not followers. We are leaders. Egba has produced leaders for this state and nation. We cannot reduce ourselves to political appendages.
To be honest and to say this with open mind, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola YAYI And APC is the wise choice.
YAYI is a proud son of Yewa land. He has the capacity, experience, strength and exposure to lead Ogun State. He has delivered for Ogun West as Senator and even touching other district. Now it is time for him to deliver for all of Ogun.
APC leadership understands this future. By supporting Senator YAYI in 2027, we are not just electing a governor. We are restoring balance.
If YAYI does 2027-2035, then Egba’s turn becomes clear and certain for 2035. That is the surest path to power for Egba land.
But if we allow Remo to take it again in 2027 through PDP, we delay Egba governorship by another 8 years.
I appeal to all Egba men and women, Do not sell out your children’s future for money or temporary promises.
Think of 2035. Think of the pride of Egba land. Think of a united Ogun where every zone gets its turn.
The path is clear: Support equity. Support Yewa now. Support YAYI. Secure Egba later.
Ogun belongs to all of us. But fairness must guide us. Let us not mortgage the future of Egba for the greed of today.
