With the appointment, Wale Oladiti takes over from the immediate past Oyo State Coordinator, Chief Ahmed Ajibola, the Chief Executive Officer of Copacopana, who led the affairs of the movement in the state before the latest leadership reshuffle.

Mr. Oladiti is widely known as the Chief Executive Officer of Weeldrop Oil, one of the well known oil and gas companies in Ibadan. He is also the son of the President of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, a background that has further distinguished him within both the business and labour communities.

A seasoned political mobiliser, Oladiti previously served as the Oyo State Coordinator of the Southwest Agenda for Asiwaju during the 2023 Tinubu Shettima Presidential Campaign, where he played a pivotal role in grassroots mobilisation and campaign coordination across Oyo State. His contributions during the electioneering period earned him recognition as one of the state’s committed political organisers.

His emergence as the Oyo State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement is expected to inject fresh energy into the activities of the organisation as it continues to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and strengthen its grassroots presence across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State.

Political observers believe that Oladiti’s blend of business acumen, political experience and organisational capacity will further reposition the City Boy Movement for greater impact ahead of future political engagements.

Members and supporters of the movement have welcomed the appointment, describing it as a strategic decision that will consolidate the achievements of the outgoing coordinator, Chief Ahmed Ajibola, while opening a new chapter of growth, inclusiveness and effective mobilisation under Wale Oladiti’s leadership.

The City Boy Movement remains one of the foremost grassroots support groups championing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with structures spread across the country to promote good governance, citizen engagement and sustainable political participation.
