The All Progressives Congress APC has extended its ongoing electronic membership registration exercise to February 8, 2026.
The decision was taken at the 183rd meeting of the party’s National Working Committee NWC held on Friday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
According to the party, the extension followed appeals from key stakeholders and is aimed at giving more supporters and members the opportunity to register and validate their membership on the party’s digital platform.
In the same vein, the NWC approved adjustments to the party’s internal electoral timetable.
Ward Congresses will now take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, while the APC National Convention has been rescheduled for March 27 and 28, 2026.
However, Osun State, Ekiti State and the Federal Capital Territory FCT have been excluded from the scheduled congresses due to forthcoming elections. Rivers State was also exempted, owing to the subsisting tenure of the current state executive committee.
The NWC further approved the constitution of the National Convention Planning Committee, with assurances that details of its composition, alongside the full timetable and schedule of activities, will be made public in due course.
