In a practical demonstration of the Renewed Hope Agenda championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Hon. John Olusegun Bamibe, an aspirant for the Ido State Assembly Constituency, has empowered residents of Ido Local Government through a targeted agricultural initiative designed to drive economic independence.

The programme, which featured a one day intensive training in poultry farming, provided each participant with 50 birds, quality feeds, and essential vaccinations as startup support. The intervention is aimed at equipping beneficiaries with the tools and capacity needed to build sustainable livelihoods and improve their economic standing.

Hon. Bamibe, who previously contested under the Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party in the 2019 elections, is now seeking to represent Ido Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. His latest empowerment drive underscores a results driven approach to leadership anchored on grassroots development.

Beyond material distribution, the initiative delivered real value through expert led sessions facilitated by Mr. Samuel Anifowose Opeyemi. Participants were taken through modern poultry farming techniques, covering best practices in bird rearing, disease control, and business sustainability, positioning them for long term success in the agricultural value chain.
Beneficiaries were drawn from all ten wards across Ido Local Government, ensuring inclusiveness and equitable reach. Among them were the Head of Widow Association in Ido, Mrs. Bolatito Ajala (Ward 7), Mrs. Bolanle Ajani, Mrs. Florence Oluwabunmi Taiwo, Mrs. Bolanle Omotunde (née Olaniyan), and Engr. Abiodun Adesina from Ward 9, Unit 5, Bodegbo, among others. They received cartons of day old chicks alongside feeds, medications, and other critical inputs to ensure a smooth takeoff.

Speaking on the initiative, the APC Publicity Secretary in Ido Local Government, Engr. Ebenezer Olatilu, commended the effort, describing it as a timely intervention that will significantly reduce poverty and elevate the standard of living within the community.
In his remarks, Hon. Bamibe stressed that economic empowerment remains a cornerstone for societal progress, noting that improving the earning capacity of the people is essential to building a more prosperous and self reliant Ido.

With initiatives like this, the message is clear. Leadership is not just about aspiration, it is about impact, visibility, and measurable change at the grassroots.
