Politics is about movement. Politics is about people. And politics, especially after an election, is about healing.

A serious candidate, by now, would have paid courtesy and reconciliation visits to all his opponents after the primary election, selection, or consensus. That is how you close the gaps, mend fences, and build one united house ahead of the general election.

But look around. What do we see?

Look at how Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola YAYI is moving. He is not waiting. He is on the field — solving problems among stakeholders, addressing issues that could become problems tomorrow, and reconciling with every single stakeholder that matters. He understands that election is not won on radio or media. It is won in the hearts of the people.

Now compare that to my own Senator.

Four years. Four good years, but not four beautiful years.

The cap has returned to him again, yet the energy is missing. Party faithfuls are complaining. Grassroots mobilizers are not happy. The masses on the street cannot point to his impact. And still, he remains cold. No move. No visit. No reconciliation. No fire.

Is he waiting for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election to carry him through?

Is he banking on Senator YAYI’s growing influence and acceptability to create a wave big enough to lift him too?

If that is the plan, then he needs to wake up. And he needs to wake up now.

If you’re close to him, kindly let him know, he needs to MOVE Ki omi to ti eyin wo igbin lenu.

Elections are not won by entitlement. They are won by engagement.

I TALK MY OWN OOOO!!!
