In his opening remarks, the State APC Youth Leader, Olalekan Glory, emphasized the need for unity, strategic coordination, and active youth participation, noting that the youth bloc remains a decisive force in determining electoral outcomes in the state.

Deliberations at the meeting focused on enhancing youth involvement in the electoral process, strengthening grassroots mobilization, and building resilience to position the party for victory in future elections. Participants also stressed the importance of coordinated support for credible youth aspirants seeking to represent their constituencies at the State House of Assembly.

A major highlight of the meeting was the constitution of a ten-member lobbying committee tasked with conducting a comprehensive and independent assessment of all youth aspirants across Oyo State. The committee will engage stakeholders, evaluate candidates based on set criteria, and provide informed recommendations to guide party decisions.

Members of the committee include the State Youth Leader as Chairman, the three senatorial youth leaders, Hon. John Aremu, Hon. Idris Ajimobi, Hon. Godwin Obode, Mogaji Oyeyemi Olubadan, Hon. Toyese Ishola, and Hon. Agboola Banji.

The committee is expected to assess aspirants based on their capacity to mobilize youths, grassroots presence, stakeholder acceptance, understanding of local dynamics, and demonstrated commitment to public service.

Stakeholders at the meeting reaffirmed their loyalty to the party leadership and their commitment to unity, growth, and electoral success of the APC in Oyo State.

The meeting concluded with a renewed resolve among participants to work collaboratively, uphold party discipline, and ensure that youth contributions remain central to the party’s political agenda.
