The newly emerged Oyo State Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Olalekan Glory, has pledged to reposition the party and work toward dislodging the Peoples Democratic Party from power in the state.
Olalekan Glory was announced as the Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State at the party’s state congress held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
In an appreciation message issued after his emergence at the party’s state congress, Glory thanked party leaders and youths for the confidence reposed in him, describing his emergence as both an honour and a responsibility.
He said his tenure would focus on strengthening the party’s youth structure from ward to state level, deepening political education, improving mobilisation for party activities and elections, and modernising digital engagement platforms.
“Our mission is deliberate and uncompromising to reposition our great party, restore public confidence, and return APC to winning ways by offering a credible, disciplined, and people-oriented alternative capable of dislodging the PDP administration in our dear state,” he stated.
Hon. Olalekan Glory acknowledged his co-aspirants for what he described as their maturity and contribution to the internal democratic process, and called for unity among party youths across the three senatorial districts.
In his message, the youth leader paid tribute to former Oyo State Governor, the late Abiola Ajimobi, noting that his style of leadership remained a source of inspiration.
Glory urged party members to remain united and committed as preparations gradually begin ahead of future political contests in the state.
