Concerned Stakeholders and Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State have distanced themselves from what they described as unauthorized and inflammatory publications circulating across media platforms in the name of the group.
In a rebuttal statement jointly signed by prominent party stakeholders including Saheed Lekan Olayiwola (Aare), Hon. Ishola Akeem Adetoyese, Akinleye Segun (Bishop), Mogaji Abiola Oyeyemi, Adekola Mudashir (Asiwaju), Oloye Banji Agboola, and Hon. Inaolaji Akinloye, the group said the publications were the handiwork of unknown individuals masquerading as concerned leaders of the party.
The stakeholders stated that the controversial publications do not reflect their position, values, or collective objectives as loyal members committed to the unity, progress, and electoral success of the APC in Oyo State and across the country.
The group also used the opportunity to congratulate Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the APC presidential flagbearer for the 2027 election, describing his leadership and commitment to national development as inspiring to party faithful nationwide.
While calling on members to remain calm and avoid divisive actions capable of creating further disunity within the party, the stakeholders urged APC supporters in the state to disregard manipulated figures and speculative reports surrounding the recently concluded governorship primaries.
According to the statement, concerns may arise in every democratic process, but party members must embrace discipline and cohesion in the overall interest of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The stakeholders further appealed to the appropriate authorities of the APC to release the authentic and comprehensive results of all party primaries conducted in Oyo State, similar to the process adopted in other states of the federation.
Reaffirming their loyalty to the APC, the group maintained that only a united and focused party can secure victory in the 2027 elections and continue to provide purposeful leadership for Nigerians and the people of Oyo State.
