Hon. Olumide Yakub Alli, an aspirant for the Akinyele Lagelu Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections, has congratulated Dr. Felicia Opatunde and Dr. Joshua Oyebanmiji, popularly known as “Atiku,” on their emergence as Women Leader and Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman respectively in the newly inaugurated Oyo State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress.
In a congratulatory message made available to the press in Ibadan, Hon. Alli described the appointments as a well deserved recognition of the duo’s commitment, loyalty, and longstanding contributions to the growth and success of the APC in Oyo State.
The party recently inaugurated its newly elected State Executive Committee at the party secretariat in Oke Ado, Ibadan, following the state congress held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, where party stakeholders elected leaders to steer the affairs of the party across the state.
Hon. Alli noted that the emergence of Dr. Opatunde as the State Women Leader and Dr. Oyebanmiji as the Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman represents a moment of pride for the people of Akinyele Local Government, describing them as shining lights and worthy ambassadors of the constituency.
According to him, both leaders have consistently demonstrated capacity, dedication, and strong grassroots connections that will greatly strengthen the structure of the party and enhance its mobilization efforts across the state.
He further commended the leadership of the Oyo APC under the chairmanship of former Deputy Governor, Moses Alake Adeyemo, expressing optimism that the new executive team would reposition the party for unity, growth, and greater electoral victories in the coming political cycles.
Hon. Alli emphasized that the appointments of Dr. Opatunde and Dr. Oyebanmiji serve as a source of inspiration to young and emerging political leaders within the constituency and across Oyo State.
“You are both the pride of Akinyele and shining lights to us all. Your emergence into these strategic positions is a giant stride that gladdens our hearts and strengthens our belief in the leadership potential within our constituency,” he stated.
He expressed confidence that the duo would justify the trust reposed in them by party stakeholders and contribute meaningfully to strengthening the APC’s grassroots structures and internal cohesion.
Hon. Alli concluded by wishing Dr. Opatunde and Dr. Oyebanmiji a successful and impactful tenure, urging them to continue to uphold the values of service, unity, and progressive leadership for which the party stands.
