Ibadan, Oyo State

Ibadan came alive as Distinguished Senator Buhari Abdulfatai officially flagged off the physical session of the Digital Marketing Skills for Renewed Hope Employment and Wealth Creation programme at the NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku.
The capacity building initiative, facilitated in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy and the National Information Technology Development Agency, is designed to equip constituents with practical and in demand digital marketing skills.

The two week programme commenced with an intensive virtual training last week to prepare beneficiaries for the task ahead. Yesterday marked the beginning of the hands on practical phase where participants are now being exposed to real world digital tools and strategies.

The initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with a clear focus on employment generation, wealth creation and positioning young people to thrive in the fast growing digital economy.
Speaking at the event, Senator Buhari Abdulfatai expressed deep appreciation to the partnering agencies for their collaboration and commended participants for their commitment and enthusiasm. He reiterated that empowering constituents with digital skills remains a top priority.
Many of the beneficiaries drawn from Oyo North and other parts of the state expressed optimism that the knowledge gained would translate into sustainable income and economic independence.
Observers note that this intervention is one of several people centered programmes earlier facilitated by the lawmaker, with more initiatives expected in the months ahead as he continues to invest in human capacity development across the constituency.
